Getting started with File Sharing

The File Sharing tool lets you organize photos and files into projects, share them as branded galleries, and collect feedback from clients and collaborators.

Projects and folders

Files ( images, videos) are organized in project and folders. A project is a parent folder, that can any amount of subfolder, and subfolder can own subfolder - similar to a regular file system.

Any folder dragged from the project folder becomes own project folder. If project folders are dragged into a different project - they become its subfolders.

Any folder or project can be renamed anytime and moved to any other folder with simple drag & drop.

  • Create a project from the left sidebar — projects are top-level containers (e.g. one project per client or shoot).

  • Create subfolders inside a project to organize images by category, day, or selection round.

  • Pin any project or folder to the top of the sidebar with the pin icon - to access active projects faster.

  • Reorder and re-parent projects and folders via drag-and-drop in the sidebar.

  • Expand and collapse folders with the chevron next to each entry.

Uploading files

  • Drag and drop files directly into the work area, or use the upload button.

  • Multi-file selection is supported — drop hundreds of images at once.

  • Uploads automatically retry on network errors with exponential backoff (1s, 2s, 4s), so a flaky connection won't stop a large upload.

View modes and sorting

  • Three view modes are available: Small Grid (190px thumbs), Large Grid (260px thumbs), and List View (120px rows).

  • Sort by name, date, or your own custom drag order — the custom order is saved per folder.

Covers

  • Set a project cover and a folder cover by choosing any file inside it or uploading custom image.
