Permissions, downloads & watermarks

Control exactly what visitors can do in your gallery and how your images are protected.

Permissions tab

In the Share dialog → Permissions tab:

  • Allow stars — visitors can rate 0–5.

  • Allow flags — visitors can mark files with default and custom badges.

  • Allow scribble — visitors can draw annotations on images.

  • Allow comments — visitors can leave threaded comments per file.

  • Require identity for actions — anonymous browsing is fine, but interaction requires a name.

Downloads

Two independent toggles:

  • High-res — visitors can download original files.

  • Low-res — visitors can download a server-watermarked 1440px version.

You can enable one, both, or neither.

Watermarks

Set up your watermark once from your account drop down or when enabling in the sharing window.

  • Choose text or image as the watermark.

  • Pick one of 9 anchor positions.

  • Adjust opacity, size, and rotation.

The watermark is shown as a CSS overlay in the browser preview and is baked into the pixels when files are downloaded as low-res or as a zip archive.

Plan tier note

Some sharing features require Medium tier or higher:

  • Custom domain

  • Custom slugs

  • Custom flags

  • Filter by person

The Small tier excludes these.
