Creating Event Types

What is an Event Type?

An Event Type is one kind of meeting you offer — for example a "15-min discovery call" or a "60-min consultation". You can have as many as you like. Each one has its own link, its own duration, and its own location.

The fields explained

  • Title — what visitors see, e.g. "30-min intro call".

  • Slug — the short name used in the link (the part after your name in the URL). Keep it lowercase, no spaces.

  • Description — a short note explaining what the meeting is about. Shown on the booking page.

  • Duration — how long the meeting lasts (15, 30, 45, 60 minutes…).

  • Location — where the meeting happens:

    • Video call — you paste your own Zoom, Google Meet or Teams link.

    • Phone — the visitor leaves their phone number and you call them.

    • In person — you add the address.

    • Custom — any other instruction (e.g. "I will send the link 1 hour before").

  • Color — a small color dot to recognise the event in your bookings list.

  • Buffer before / after — extra free minutes around the meeting so you are not booked back-to-back.

  • Minimum notice — the shortest warning you accept (e.g. "no bookings less than 2 hours in advance").

  • Booking window — how far into the future people can book (default 60 days).

  • Slot interval — the step between available start times (e.g. every 15 or 30 min).

  • Availability schedule — which working hours apply to this Event Type (you can have different schedules for different events).

  • Custom questions — extra fields the visitor must answer when booking (e.g. "What would you like to discuss?").

  • Active — turn off to temporarily hide the event without deleting it.

Tips

  • Keep titles short and descriptive — they are the first thing a visitor reads.

  • Add a 5–10 min buffer after if you need time to take notes between meetings.

  • Use Minimum notice to avoid last-minute bookings.
